Cement blocks near Paphos Castle will be installed for the last time this winter

The Municipality of Paphos announced that this winter will be the last time cement wave-breaking blocks are installed along the coast near Paphos Castle.
For many years, these blocks have been placed during the winter period to protect the promenade from strong waves and storms. However, the authorities have decided to abandon this temporary solution and move toward a more sustainable and long-term approach to coastal protection.
The municipality noted that future steps will focus on preserving the historical appearance of the area and improving coastal safety without seasonal interventions.
