TRNC snipers win gold at international competition in Turkey

The TRNC team achieved a significant success at the «6th International Team Competition of the Best Snipers», held in the Turkish city of Isparta from May 11 to 20, 2026. At the end of the prestigious tournament, TRNC representatives won the gold medal in the national ranking.

The official results of the competition were published by the Turkish Ministry of National Defense. The tournament took place at the Mountain Commando School and Training Center and brought together military teams from 13 countries, including Azerbaijan, Spain, Italy, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Mongolia and others.

According to the final standings, Turkey, the TRNC and Uzbekistan received gold awards in the national ranking. In the overall team standings, the Turkish Land Forces team took first place.

The team’s success was noted as an important achievement for the TRNC at the international level. In Ankara, the participants’ high professionalism and the importance of such competitions for the development of military cooperation and the exchange of experience between friendly states were emphasized.
