Chinese Fugitive Applying for Residence Permit in TRNC Placed on Blacklist
A foreigner who applied for a residence permit in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) based on "high income" has been declared a "prohibited immigrant" after it was discovered that he was on Interpol's wanted list with a "red notice."
According to information published in the "Official Gazette," the individual in question is Yansi Xia, born in 1969. He submitted an application for a residence permit in the TRNC due to "high income" back in 2020.
During the security services' investigation, it was revealed that this person is under international search by the judicial authorities of China and Interpol with a "red notice." In his home country, he is suspected of "Creating and Managing a Pyramid-Structured Criminal Organization."
In connection with this, the Council of Ministers of the TRNC declared the mentioned individual a "prohibited immigrant."
