Erhürman to represent TRNC at Turkic States summit on artificial intelligence

TRNC President Tufan Erhürman will participate in the informal summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), which will be held on May 15, 2026, in Turkestan — the spiritual capital of the Turkic world. The meeting is organized under the chairmanship of Kazakhstan and will be dedicated to the theme "Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development."
It is expected that leaders of OTS member and observer states, as well as the secretary-general of the organization, representatives of the Council of Elders, and Turkic cooperation structures, will take part in the summit. The main focus will be on digital transformation, the development of artificial intelligence technologies, and strengthening interaction between Turkic states.
As noted, the meeting will serve as a platform to discuss ways to stimulate sustainable economic growth, modernize public services, and expand regional connectivity through new technologies and digital innovations.
For the TRNC, participation in the summit is seen as an opportunity to strengthen ties with the Turkic world and expand cooperation in the fields of high technology, digital economy, and education.
